Dimitra Geneva & Co.

Practice

Dimitra Diggs is the founder and principal of Dimitra Geneva & Co., a boutique PR, marketing, and talent relations firm serving film, entertainment, and community-impact clients. She brings more than 20 years of experience across communications, marketing, business development, brand building, and project leadership.

Today, Dimitra advises emerging brands, talent, and mid-tier influencers on positioning, public presence, and media preparedness. She leads event production and brand activations, and provides grant research, writing, and funding support for clients from restaurants to festival organizers and community-based organizations. Her nonprofit experience includes supporting a $5.2 million capital campaign for a mental health initiative led by a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Entertainment

Her current film work includes The Ebony Canal, a documentary on Black maternal and infant health narrated by Viola Davis and directed by Emmy Award winner Emmai Alaquiva. As part of the film's PR team, Dimitra supports Alaquiva and the broader publicity effort around screenings, film festivals, media opportunities, and talent participation. The film has been recognized with Emmy, NAACP Image, and Webby Awards.

Institutional

Dimitra has led major publication work for a top-10 HBCU, working directly with university vice presidents and managing projects from production through final print. She wrote the institution's President's Annual Report for two consecutive cycles and wrote and submitted the winning entry for a 2024 NABJ Salute to Excellence Award in the PR & Marketing Campaigns Print category. She has also supported a national organization dedicated to ending sexual abuse, assault, and harassment, leading communications for its work at the local level.

Corporate

Her corporate background includes market strategy, executive communications, and training. She builds the standard operating procedures and internal resources that keep complex programs consistent, and briefs government stakeholders on program policy and operations.

Entrepreneurship

She built and operated Urban Snob, an independent fashion boutique and e-commerce business, where she led product selection, merchandising, partnerships, customer experience, and the overall direction of the brand for more than a decade. Under that brand she also created and produced her own experiential events.

Community

Dimitra serves on the Advisory Board for Life-2-Life, whose literacy initiative helps children stay connected to incarcerated fathers. She previously served as Vice President of the Board for Neighborhood Center UMC.

She holds a B.A. in Organizational Leadership from Pennsylvania State University and an A.A. in Criminal Justice from Harrisburg Area Community College.
